The Israeli Committee Against House Demolitions UK (ICAHD UK) is committed to providing a welcoming environment for all as a necessary precursor to achieving its aims. ICAHD UK recognises that this involves both preventing any discriminatory practices, and actively seeking the engagement and involvement of people from a diverse range of backgrounds.
This policy is intended to apply to all staff, Executive Committee members and members generally.

1. People involved with ICAHD UK have the right not to be harassed or discriminated against on grounds which include – but are not limited to – age, disability, race, gender, parenthood, belief, sexual orientation and socio-economic background. Harassment may include unwelcome comments, looks, actions, materials, suggestions or physical contact which create an intimidating environment. ICAHD UK will take all cases of reported harassment seriously and deal with them in accordance with its guidelines.

2. ICAHD UK will always aim to use premises for its meetings and supporter events which are accessible to all. The premises must be safe and welcoming to all. ICAHD UK will seek to ensure that participation in campaign events, training and actions is safe and supported as far as is possible.

3. Recognising that language and visual imagery influence perceptions, ICAHD UK will seek to be aware of oppressive or damaging stereotypes and tropes in the media and society relevant to our work, and to produce campaign communications which challenge rather than reinforce these.
