Photo: Jeff Halper at the Greenbelt festival, 29^th August 2022
Because of the pandemic, it has been more than two and a half years since Jeff Halper, ICAHD’s director, has been able to travel from Jerusalem to the UK so do not miss this opportunity to hear from this critical Israeli. Jeff comes to relay the facts on the ground and the explain the elements required for there to be a just and sustainable peace between both people groups residing between the river and the sea.
Jeff began his UK visit by participating in the Greenbelt festival, where he was enthusiastically received by the hundreds of people who attended his seminars. This week public meetings have been held in Manchester and Glasgow. Jeff is now on his way to Dundee, which will be followed by Edinburgh, Hebden Bridge, Leeds, and London. See below for dates and venues.
Known for the clarity Jeff brings to issues on the ground in Palestine/Israel as well as politically, he comes to us this time with a message and a program. The message: it’s time to turn our protests into political action. The program: Let’s get behind the Palestinian-led One Democratic State Campaign and start campaigning for their 10-point program of decolonizing Zionism and establishing a democratic state for everyone between the River and the Sea, including the returning refugees.
