Having taken 85% of Palestine’s land, settled it with Jews and driven half the Palestinian people into exile, normalization mean international acceptance of Israel’s locking the Palestinians into truncated, non-sovereign, non-viable enclaves on 15% of Palestine, controlled entirely by Israel itself – the permanent imprisonment of the Palestinians into a Bantustan-“state.” Normalization means closure for the Palestinians’ struggle for Palestinian rights. What does a “Campaign Against Normalizing Israeli Apartheid” look like?
Jeff Halper is an Israeli-Jewish voice of conscience, founder of Israeli Committee Against House Demolitions (ICAHD), and an Israeli participant in the Palestinian-led One Democratic State Campaign.
