Israeli Apartheid week (#apartheid week) , tours (#tour dates) , interviews (#interview) , events (#conference) and other campaigning news (#campaigns) ...

Firstly, we are delighted to say that our international rebuilding campaign was successful! Thanks to everybody who donated to this (in particular to Mads Gilbert). We are happy to report that we reached our target and the home that is being built for the family in Anata is due to go ahead immediately. Watch this space for news and photos of the family and construction. Please know that every contribution really does make a difference!

We have exciting news to bring you this month: a taster interview with Ruth Edmonds (#interview) ahead of Israeli Apartheid Week and her speaking tour (#tour dates) later this month, plus all dates and venues confirmed for you to book in the event closest to you. We invite you to join our sponsored walk (#walk) with a radical focus, to attend our annual spring conference (#conference) and networking dinner. And for those itching to learn more about the current situation in Israel/Palestine and get involved in a practical sense, you’ll be pleased to know that the plans for our summer rebuilding camp (#conference) are now underway, with details for this years study tours taking place throughout the year too. And finally we ask you to hold your MP’s accountable (#campaigns) for Palestine and show you a tool to do so.

This April, our annual fundraising walk for ICAHD UK comes to London, and you can be part of it. We have limited places for this walking tour, led by experienced, "passionate and immensely knowledgable" tour-guide David Rosenberg , author of books: Battle for the East End (2011), and Rebel Footprints (2015).

On Saturday 18th April, from 2pm - 5pm we will find out fascinating insights from the local 'Radical Jewish East End', a walking history considering Jewish roots in the area and their effects on the neighbourhood. Going back to the 150,000 Jewish immigrants that arrived pre-WW1 from Tsarist Russia, and the challenges they faced, travelling through to modern-day multiculturalism. Find our poster here .

Tickets are just £15, with an expected £15 minimum sponsorship expected, and we will finish the afternoon with discussion and networking at a pub close by. So why not book your train ticket to London and BOOK YOUR PLACE NOW .

Ruth Edmonds' tour

During Israeli Apartheid Week

Ruth Edmonds’ second tour for ICAHD UK starts in just over a week – and she certainly will be busy as she fits in 17 events over 10 days. The title for Ruth’s speaking tour is ‘Palestine & Israel: Where Are We and Where Are We Headed?’ She will explain that Israel relies not only on military force but on the de-legitimisation of all forms of resistance. Ruth will provide insight into the multiple levels of oppression by which the resistance is stifled and the occupation maintained by Israeli society. Here you will find an example of Ruth's analysis in a recent interview.

Full public programme is released below, along with flyers for each venue and contact details. To download a poster with full tour dates click here (https://gallery.mailchimp.com/a3728e1a8014d53820403ca12/files/Ruth_FULL_tour_dates.pdf) . Please help us by spreading the word around to your contacts, and if you live locally, by distributing flyers and posters in the area – let us know (mailto:info@icahduk.org) if you can help. As a young Israeli Jewish woman, we believe that Ruth comes with a voice that is rarely heard and we urge you to hear her talk and ask questions.
