Trump's Gaza Peace Plan: Ending the war but prolonging occupation? "I was recently on a TRT (Turkish-English) TV program on Trump's "peace plan" for Gaza. (Like other critical voices, I have far more access to non-Western media than to American or European.) "With me was Ayah Ziyadeh, the advocacy director for American s for Justice in Palestine Action and American Muslims for Palestine in DC, an extremely articulate analyst as you can see from the video of the program posted below. The third member of the panel was Thomas Warrick of the conservative (to be kind) Atlantic Council, Director of The Future of DHS Project -- working with Kritsi Noem on how to "improve" the Department of Homeland Security (!)
"Warrick and the Atlantic Council, according to the program's presenter, were intimately involved in drafting Trump's 21-point plan. Seldom are people like me (and I suppose Ayah) able to confront and interact with authors of such misconceived and politically oppressive policies. If a genuine debate wasn't held - not enough time for that anyway - it was cathartic to be able to yell at one of the architects of the continued Israeli colonization of Gaza rather than the TV screen.
