On 12th February, the Nasser family from Tent of Nations was due to receive the result of their court case, finally reaching the end of their 32-year long struggle for justice - a decision that was again delayed for a month. Will this family be able to retain its farm that has been in the family for generations, or will it be confiscated like so much other Palestinian property has within Area C?

Tent of Nations is an educational and ecological farm that is located on a hilltop between Hebron and Bethlehem. Surrounded by five settlements ever creeping closer, the Israeli government claims ownership of the land which the Nasser family has challenged at a cost of $200,000 in legal fees. Their case has been sent from Israel’s Supreme Court to the military court and they hope it can be re-registered as private land and not state land.

During the ICAHD UK webinar on 15th February, Daoud Nassar told the story of their farm and all they have done over the years to retain and develop it.

Hear why despite their relentless adversities, including settler attacks, the destruction of trees and crops, and receiving demolitions orders on every structure on the farm, the family refuses to cave in and become a victim. Family members persist in lovingly cultivating the land, tending their crops, and building bridges of understanding wherever they can.
