Israeli forces destroy tents in al Fakhit Masafer Yatta - 1 June 2022

Israeli forces entered Masafer Yatta accompanied by bulldozers on 1 June 2022. 8 villages in the region are at immediate risk of mass destruction and displacement. This is settler-colonial elimination taking place before our eyes.

Israeli forces raided al Fakhit, one of the villages in Masafer Yatta at risk of immediate forces displacement, destroying 5 tents in the village. Some of these tents were used to house families, sheltering them from the blistering heat of the summer.

On 16 February, JCB bulldozers were used again in the demolition of a Palestinian home, this time in East Jerusalem.city in the demolitions.

More demolitions in Khirbet Humsah in the northern Jordan Valley on 8th February 2021

Monday, 8 February 2021, Israel again confiscated most of the residential structures and livestock enclosures in the community of Khirbet Humsah al-Foqa, located in Area C in the north of the Jordan Valley. Israel’s Civil Administration personnel dismantled and confiscated nine tents that were home to 61 people, including 33 minors, as well as 12 other structures which included shade sails, storage shacks and a water container. They also demolished five livestock enclosures. Israeli authorities along with the JCB bulldozer then proceeded to the nearby village of Yarza to destroy more homes. The use of JCB’s equipment has led to Palestinians accusing JCB of complicity in the demolitions.

Demolitions in the South Hebron Hills - 25 November 2020

25th of November 2020, Israeli occupation forces demolished 7 houses, 3 bathrooms, many stoney walls, used for agriculture, 2 water tanks, uprooted tens of trees, and cut off and destroyed a water network in south Hebron Hills and Masafer Yatta. In the early morning many military jeeps, almost 7 vehicles for the Israeli Civil administration and 4 bulldozers arrived at Carmel settlement entrance near Um Al Khair village. They gathered then moved south to Arakeez village were they demolished a house and a bathroom for the family of Al Makhamreh. Besides that, they moved to Atwaneh and Sarurah villages and demolished a house for Abu 'Ram family and a bathroom for Al 'moor family. Moreover, they moved to Khalet Adabe' village and demolished three houses belongs to Adbabseh family, destroyed one water tank and uprooted many trees. Furthermore, they moved to Maghaier Al Abeed in Masafer Yatta and demolished a house and a bathroom to the family of Makhamreh and uprooted many trees. In the other hand, the forces started to cut off the Masafer Yatta water network.

A very hard day to south Hebron hills and Masafer Yatta. Tens of people including elderly people and young children will spend this rainy night without shelters. Hundreds of families will stay again without water in addition to thousands of animals.

Israel demolishes the entire community of Khirbet Humsah in the northern Jordan Valley

On 3 November 2020, at around 11:00 A.M., the Civil Administration came with a military escort, two JCB bulldozers and two diggers to the community of Khirbet Humsah in the northern Jordan Valley. The forces demolished 18 tents and sheds that housed 11 families, numbering 74 people in total, 41 of them minors. The forces also demolished 29 tents and sheds used as livestock enclosures, three storage sheds, nine tents used as kitchens, 10 portable toilets, 10 livestock pens, 23 water containers, two solar panels, and feeding and watering throughs for livestock. They also destroyed more than 30 tons of fodder for livestock and confiscated a vehicle and two tractors belonging to three residents. View Video


Israeli CA demolishes homes in Masafer Yatta, the South Hebron Hills, 11 Sept. 2019

On Wednesday, 11 September 2019, at around 8:00 A.M., Israeli Civil Administration personnel arrived with soldiers, Border Police officers, a bulldozer and three diggers at the Masafer Yatta area in the South Hebron Hills. In Khirbet al-Mufaqarah, the troops demolished three pre-fabricated buildings and a tent that had housed four families, 18 people in all, including eight children. Later, they to Khirbet Khilet a-Dabe’, where they demolished two cinder block and concrete structures that were the homes of two families, with a total of nine members, including five children.
