Protecting Palestinian Families and ICAHD UK

Supporters of Palestinian human rights have held a vigil outside a JCB facility in Farnham, Surrey. They are demanding that major children's charity NSPCC stop accepting donations from the giant company.

Organiser Mayonne Coldicott said she had travelled to Palestine with the Israeli Committee Against House Demolitions.

"It's devastating to see the effect of having your house deliberately knocked down, leaving you without a roof and all your belongings strewn around," she said.

"The children particularly suffer with mental trauma for years afterwards.

"And how disgusting that the Israeli army can come in and take away emergency tents given by the Red Cross.

"I am appalled to see JCB, a respected British company, making money out of human misery and to think that the NSPCC would accept donations from this company is just shameful.

"So much for their commitment to children!"
