The 2018 dates for the two extended study tours that we offer for internationals are 12 – 22 March and 5 – 15 November.
Each is grounded in ICAHD analysis and offers unique time with Jeff Halper who sets the scene by describing the current reality in Palestine/Israel within its historical context and he will help participants understand the significance of the latest rapidly unfolding developments. Through spending time on both sides of the divide, participants obtain insight about the life of the occupied and the occupier. Learn how Palestinian society has been tragically fragmented over seven decades and the acts of non-violence and sumud (steadfastness) that persist. Hear voices from critical Israeli Jews who courageously challenge their government’s policies and lift a mirror to Israeli society. Debriefing sessions are held each evening which enhance the programme.

Accommodation is in Bethlehem, East Jerusalem and Nazareth. The cost of the tour (£1090 for March and £1100 for November) includes the full tour programme staying at three-star hotels at half-board (bed, breakfast and evening meal), sharing a twin-bedded room with ensuite facilities, guidance from the tour leader, other day-guides and tips. Flights, lunches and travel insurance are not included. A supplement for a single room accommodation is available. Travel is by our own private comfortable coach with an expert local driver from a licensed bus company. The group is kept to a maximum of 18 participants.

“The content of the itinerary and the opportunity to visit various centres in Israel and the OPT were excellent. The information sharing and support during the tour were brilliant and it was real value for money. There was no single thing that was most memorable for me. It was the accumulation of different kinds of knowledge; analysis of the structural conditions which oppress Palestinians; and thirdly finding out about the many ways that Palestinians try to counter the situation with positive and creative activities.”
