Today we have spent the entire day building so have returned home to camp all happily covered in dust, sweat and cement.

After collecting boulders from nearby rubble-sites, we started to lay the dry-stone walls, which will line the front of the land, under the guidance of master-craftsman Riad. We also built up internal partition walls that form the rooms and structure of the house.

Then this evening we had a powerful briefing and Q&A session from Israeli activists, ‘refuseniks’ and whistleblowers, which one participant described as “phenomenal testimony that I’m very humbled to have heard”.

In these pictures you will meet some more of the team who have fundraised to help construct this family house and are now slogging away in the 36-degree heat during this fortnight to make it a ‘concrete’ reality!
