An EU ruling released today effectively states that West Bank goods can’t be considered Israeli. According to the ruling, Israel has no standing in companies in settlements which make such products as cookies, pretzels, wines, cosmetics and computer equipment. Israeli goods made in the West Bank cannot enjoy duty-free access to the EU market. From now on there will be EU import duties on Israeli goods from the West Bank, rendering those products less competitive.
