Prof Jeff Halper, Director of ICAHD, is spending Tuesday evening, 26 August, in jail. After being part of the group of international peace activists that sailed from Cyprus to Gaza as part of the Free Gaza campaign to break the seige, Jeff was arrested when attempting to enter Israel through the Erez Crossing.

Inititally it was pronounced that he would be released on house arrest however the decision was reversed. His court case will begin at 8:30 tomorrow morning, where he will be represented by Kenneth Mann, of Mann & Co from Tel Aviv, which specializes in criminal law and trials.

News media are expected to be present, including Israeli television.
