Download the book
This do-it-yourself tour guide to Jerusalem will provide intrepid travelers with a comprehensive overview, on the ground, of the political geography of Jerusalem, and it's historical underpinnings. Fully illustrated, this guide will help the independent tourist (or Israeli) learn more about the reality of the Occupation of East Jerusalem. Includes bus information, and helpful cultural tips for those venturing into Palestinian neighborhoods alone. This book is the work of two young Italians who spent a few months in Jerusalem volunteering with the Israeli Committee Against House Demolitions.

Activism
. . . . Constructing Peace Campaign
The Campaign continues to rebuild 6-7 demolished Palestinian homes every month through the generosity of our donors, and recently sponsored the following two activities:

. . . . ICAHD Volunteers Rebuild Bedouin Bridge

During January and early February ICAHD activists helped rebuild a bridge for the village of Ramadin in the South Hebron Hills. The bridge had been destroyed by the Israeli military as part of their ongoing campaign to clear the local Bedouin from the area which is close to the Separation Barrier and the checkpoint exiting the West Bank to Be'er Sheva. . . . . Israeli Activists Rebuild Two Homes
On February 2nd, ICAHD volunteers, together with activists from New Profile, helped rebuild two homes in the village of Shukba that had been demolished by the Israeli Authorities. The village is situated in the Central West Bank east of the Modi'in Illit settlement. Over forty people from Tel Aviv and Jerusalem participated in the one-day action, spending the day mixing cement, hauling cinder blocks, and learning how to plaster walls from the Palestinian workers.

Advocacy
. . . . ICAHD's Advocacy Officer, Angela Godfrey-Goldstein gave the following presentation on the Gaza Siege to a British Parliament Panel on February 18th in London:
angela godfrey-goldsteinThere are many (even in my government) who are encouraging a situation to develop in which a fledgling Palestinian state will not be sovereign or viable because of continued developments on the ground, especially in Jerusalem and Gaza. The siege of Gaza is part of this policy. A policy of divide and rule. But there can be no peace without a viable human and economic society in Gaza, integrally linked to the West Bank.
The situation specifically in Gaza must be stopped. Britain bears historical responsibility for some of this crisis . . more

TOURS
. . . Day Tours
ICAHD now has scheduled day-tours which allow you to make reservations in advance through an online booking form. If you are coming to Israel/Palestine, make a reservation for your tour in advance of your trip.
