‘Judaizing Palestine’ Conference

We are very pleased to announce our programme for this years annual conference! Bringing you crucial and timely analysis following the recent elections, and such devastating news as the Al’Araqib Bedouin Village having been demolished for the 83rd time, we hope you will join us to hear more on the issue of ‘Judaizing Palestine’.

Our featured speakers include Jeff Halper, Co-Founder and Director of the Israeli Committee Against House Demolitions in Jerusalem, and Nobel Peace Prize nominee; Khalil Al-Amour, Adalah Field Researcher from the unrecognized villages in the Negev, and Board Member for the Negev Coexistence Forum for Civil Equality; and Salma Karmi-Ayyoub, External Consultant for Al-Haq, and co-chair of Lawyers for Palestinian Human Rights.

We also have contributions from Tony Lerman, from Independent Jewish Voices; and Deborah Burton from Tipping Point North South.

As well as keynote presentations, short films, and a panel discussion, we will be hosting an afternoon session aiming to mobilise resistance, campaigns and activism in your local areas on the themes of:

  • Campaigning on Bedouins in the Negev
  • Investigating the UK’s involvement in the arms trade and developing our response

You can find a summary from last years’ excellent conference here, and booking form here.

And don’t just take our word for it, below is some feedback from attendees last year:

“The annual gathering is one of the high-lights of my year for a number of reasons: it provides me with an up to date analysis of the situation in Palestine/Israel even though I read ICAHD’s news letters and those of others; it is an occasion to renew my own commitment to this cause for Justice and Peace, and also the occasion to meet such enthusiastic people… so many thanks for the extremely stimulating and challenging day.” – Bridget H

“You all made me feel very welcome, I thoroughly enjoyed meeting everyone and thought the conference was very enlightening. And very well organised!” – Kerry G
